Recipe Introduction

This simple recipe is intensely chocolate -- good for last minute company and very easy to prepare.

List of Ingredients

1 cup flour
2 tablespoons + 1/4 c. cocoa, divided
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons melted butter
3/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup milk
1 cup brown sugar



Recipe

Preheat oven to 350ºF. In ungreased 8" square pan, mix together flour, sugar, 2 tbl. cocoa, baking powder and salt. Add milk and butter, mixing well. In small bowl, mix together brown sugar and rest of cocoa. Sprinkle over dough; do not stir. Pour 1 3/4 c. boiling water over top. Stir twice around and no more. Bake for 20-25 minutes til cake is set and pudding is bubbly. Good topped with vanilla ice cream or cool whip
