1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1 1/2 cups shortening
3 eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla
2 tablespoons milk
3 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
3 cups oats
1 package butterscotch morselsRecipe
Preheat oven to 350ºF. Combine sugars, shortening, eggs, vanilla, and milk. Mix until smooth. Sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Add all at once to egg/sugar mixture. Beat until smooth. Add oats and butterscotch morsels. Mix well. Drop by spoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet or spread evenly for bar cookies. Bake for 15 minutes or until light brown.
