List of Ingredients
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup molasses
3/4 cup shortening or butter
1 egg
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ginger
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon clovesRecipe
Beat well sugar, molasses and butter. Mix remaining ingredients well and add to butter sugar mixture. Chill dough for easier handling. Roll balls into side of walnuts and roll in plate of sugar. Bake on greased cookie sheet at 375ºF for 9-10 minutes.
