3/4 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt


Recipe

Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside. Cream butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Stir in sifted ingredients. Chill dough thoroughly (at least 2 hours). Preheat oven to 400ºF. Roll dough, a segment at a time, to 1/8 inch thickness. Cut with cookie cutter. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake 6-8 minutes. Be careful not to overbake. Yield 4 dozen.
