    Amish Country Cookbook Vol II

    List of Ingredients




    3 cups sugar
    4 eggs
    1 cup sour milk
    2 teaspoons baking soda
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon lemon extract
    1 3/4 cups shortening
    1 cup sour cream
    6 cups flour
    4 teaspoons baking powder
    1 tablespoon vanilla

    Recipe



    Mix together shortening and sugar. Add eggs and mix well. Add remaining ingredients and combine well. Roll out, then cut and sprinkle tops with sugar. Bake in 350�F oven until done. The more sour the cream, the better the cookies.
