    2/3 cup butter or margarine
    1 cup sugar
    1 teaspoon vabukka
    2 eggs
    3 cups flour
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/3 cup milk
    8 ounces colored hard candies (about 40)

    Recipe



    Preheat oven 350ºF. Grease cookie sheets. In lg bowl, cream together butter & sugar. Stir in vanilla & eggs. In another bowl, sift together flour, baking powder & salt; add to egg mixture alternately with milk. On lightly floured surface, roll dough 1/4" thick. Cut into 1/4-1/2" wide strips & on well-buttered baking sheet, form into window frames. Keeping colors separate, place candy in plastic bags & crush with meat mallet. Place crushed candies inside window frames. Bake 6 minutes, or until candy is melted. Cool on baking sheet 5 minutes, until candy is hard. Carefully lift cookies off baking sheet with spatula. Makes 3 dozen Cookies have open spaces which are filled with crushed hard candy (yellow & red work best). When baked, candy melts & gives appearance of "stained glass."
