Best Chocolate Ice Cream & Variations

Sunbeam Ice Cream Maker
1 cup half and half
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups whipping cream
Combine half and half, sugar, cocoa, and vanilla in blender; cover and process on low until smooth. Pour mix into cream canister and stir in whipping cream. Freeze as directed. Makes 1 1/2 quarts.
VARIATIONS: (add additions immediately after freezing.)
Toasted Almond Fudge: Add 3/4 c. toasted slivered almonds.
Marshmallow Revel: Swirl 1 c. marshmallow cream into ice cream.
Mandarin Orange Surprise: Reduce half and half to 1 c. Add 3/4 c. orange juice before freezing and then freeze
Rocky Road: Swirl 1/2 c. each mini marshmallows and almonds into ice cream.
Mocha: Add 1 1/2 tsp instant coffee powder before freezing; freeze as directed.
Mocha Chip. Swirl 1/2 c. mini chocolate chips into mocha ice cream.
