    Best Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream*

    Recipe Introduction

    Buny's Note: we've done this one using cut up bittersweet chocolate as well with outstanding results. We've also swirled in thick hot fudge topping just prior to storing in freezer. We always have some of this stuff in the freezer during summer.

    List of Ingredients

    3 cups whipping cream
    1 cup half and half
    1 cup sugar
    1 1/2 teaspoons mint extract (pure, not imitation)
    1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla (pure not imitation)
    1 drop green food coloring (we skip this)
    2/3 cup mini chocolate chips

    Recipe

    Combine all but chocolate chips in cream canister. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Freeze as directed. Add chocolate chips immediately after freezing. Makes 1 1/2 quarts.
