    Apple: Apples 'n' Cream Pie

    List of Ingredients

    1 15 ounce package folded refrigerated unbaked piecrusts
    5 cups sliced peeled baking apples -- (about 5 medium)
    1 cup sugar
    1/4 cup all-purpose flour
    1/2 teaspoon apple pie spice
    2/3 cup half-and-half or light cream

    Recipe

    Place 1 piecrust in a 9-inch pie plate according to package directions. Place apples in the lined plate. Mix sugar, flour and spice in medium bowl. Stir in half-and-half or light cream. Pour over apples. Cut slits in top crust. Place top crust on filling. Fold top crust under bottom crust; flute edge. Cover edge of crust with foil. Bake in preheated 375ºF oven for 25 minutes. Remove foil. Brush crust with additional half-and-half or light cream if desired. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes more or until top is golden and apples are tender. Let stand at room temperature for at least 1 hour. Serve warm.
