    Pecan: Basic Pecan Pie

    List of Ingredients

    4 large eggs
    1 cup granulated sugar
    1 cup light corn syrup
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon lemon juice
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1/4 cup butter or margarine
    2 cups pecan halves
    1 pie crust

    Recipe

    Heat oven to 350F. In medium-sized bowl, beat eggs with mixer or beater. Add sugar, corn syrup, salt and vanilla, beat until well blended. Stir in melted butter and pecan halves. Pour into pie shell. Place pie on the center of the rack of oven and bake 50 minutes or until the filling is set in the center when the pie is gently shaken.

    Remove pie from oven and cool completely on a wire rack. Place in refrigerator to chill slightly before serving. Serves 8.
