    Chocolate: Chocolate Peanut Crunch Pie

    List of Ingredients

    22 oreo chocolate sandwich cookies -- finely crushed
    1/4 cup margarine or butter -- melted
    1 package chocolate instant pudding & pie filling mix-- (4-serving-size)
    1 cup milk
    2 cups whipped topping -- thawed, divided
    1/4 cup planters dry roasted peanuts -- chopped, divided

    Recipe

    MIX cookie crumbs and margarine or butter. Press firmly onto bottom and up side of 9-inch pie plate; set aside. BEAT pudding mix, milk and 1 cup whipped topping in medium bowl with electric mixer on low speed for 1 minute; stir in 3 tablespoons chopped peanuts. Spread evenly in prepared crust. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight. SPREAD remaining whipped topping over pie; garnish with remaining peanuts. Refrigerate until serving time. MAKES 8 SERVINGS

    NOTES : To finely crush OREO cookies, place them in a large plastic bag and seal. Use a rolling pin to crush the cookies until they resemble the texture of cornmeal.
