Hint of Mint Cream Cheese Pie

1 graham cracker crust
1-36 piece box Andes mints
2-8 ounce packs cream cheese
1/3 cup sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
1-8 ounce carton cool whip Recipe
Melt 24 of the mints in a small saucepan on low on the stove. Add 4 oz of the cream cheese, and continue to heat, stirring frequently. Remove from heat and spread in the bottom of the pie shell. Chill in freezer. Beat remaining 12 oz of cream cheese until smooth, add sugar and vanilla, fold in cool whip. Spoon over top of first layer. Chop, or peel with veggie peeler remaining mints, garnish pie, chill.
