Custard: Rice Custard

List of Ingredients
1/2 cup uncooked rice
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
3 cups milk
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 cup raisins
3 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
Recipe
Cook rice according to directions. In small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon. Scald milk and melt butter in scalded milk. Combine all ingredients and pour into greased 2 1/2 quart casserole dish. Place in pan of hot water and bake uncovered at 350ºF for 1 hour, or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
