List of Ingredients
2 ready made pie crusts
CREAM CHEESE LAYER:
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 egg
LEMON FILLING:
1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons flour
3/4 cup light corn syrup
1/3 cup lemon juce
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
2 beaten eggs (reserve 1 tsp for topping)
TOPPING:
1 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Recipe
Preheat oven to 375ºF. In a small bowl, combine all cream cheese filling ingredients at medium speed until well blended. Spoon into crust-lined pan. In same bowl, combine all lemon filling ingredients at low speed. Carefully pour over cream cheese filling. Top with second crust and trim edges. Cut slits in top crust. Brush with 1 tsp. reserved egg. Combine 1 tsp. sugar and nutmeg and sprinkle over top crust. Bake at 375ºF for 45-55 minutes or until filling is set and crust is golden brown. Cool completely.
