    4 carrots
    1 tablespoon butter
    1 cup dark beer
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon sugar

    Recipe



    Peel carrots and cut into long thin slices.  In a medium skillet, melt butter; add beer and carrots.  Simmer, stirring frequently, until tender.  Stir in salt and sugar.  Cook for 2 minutes.  Serve hot.
