    1 cup dark beer
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon sugar

    Peel carrots and cut into long thin slices.� In a medium skillet, melt butter; add beer and carrots.� Simmer, stirring frequently, until tender.� Stir in salt and sugar.� Cook for 2 minutes.� Serve hot.
