Butternut Squash: Country Fried Butternut Squash

6 pounds butternut squash
1 egg beaten
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup cornmeal
1 pinch salt
1 pinch ground black pepper
1 pinch garlic salt
Recipe
Combine egg and milk together in a small bowl, mix well. In a second bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, salt, pepper and garlic salt. Dip squash slices first in the milk-egg mixture and then dredge the squash in the dry mixture. Fry the squash in a frying pan containing 1/2 inch of oil. Fry until golden brown.
