    Beets: Harvard Beets 2

    A Midwest Gardener's Cookbook

    List of Ingredients

    1/2 cup sugar
    1 tablespoon cornstarch
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    2 whole cloves
    1/2 cup cider vinegar
    3 cups sliced or diced cooked beets

    Recipe

    Combine sugar, cornstarch, salt, whole cloves and vinegar in top of double boiler, and cook until clear. Add beets. Place over hot water and warm for approximately 1/2 hur, stirring occasionally. Butter may be added before serving.
