    "Paula says this recipe serves her husband. When she made it for us, she doubled the recipe! It is very good...you might want to double it, too!! "

    List of Ingredients




    1 lb. whole mushrooms
    2 Tbl. butter
    2 beef broth packages (dry) --see note below
    1/2 c. hot water
    1/2 stick butter
    2 Tbl. flour
    1/2 c. cream
    1/8 t. salt
    1/2 c. breadcrumbs
    1 c. Parmesan cheese

    Recipe



    Saute mushrooms in 2 Tbl. butter. (I add a little bit of garlic powder now.) Dissolve beef broth in hot water. Melt 1/2 stick butter and blend in flour. Add cream, salt, broth and let this cook until mixture has thickened. Pour mushrooms and sauce into a greased baking dish (2 qt). Top with cheese and bread crumbs. Bake for 30 mins. at 350¼F. Serves 6 - 8.

    Original poster's note: I use broth packages instead of bouillon because bouillon is too salty.
