Rutabaga with Bacon

1 medium rutabaga, cut into 1" cubes
salt, pepper to taste
5 slices bacon, diced
2 tablespoons butter
nutmeg to taste
2 tablespoons milk or creamRecipe
Cook the rutabaga in boiling salted for about 30 minutes or until tender, drain. In the meantime fry the bacon until crisp. Return the rutabaga to the pot and mash to a pulp. Stir in the butter, bacon, pepper and the nutmeg. Stir in the milk/cream and heat through. Serves 4
