Sweet: 2 pt. Fruit Monkey Bread

    Source of Recipe

One Pot Favorites Cookbook by JoAnna M. Lund

    List of Ingredients

    1/2 teaspoon apple pie spice
1/4 cup sugar twin or sprinkle sweet
2 packages pillsbury refrigerated buttermilk (7.5-ounce) biscuits
1/3 cup spreadable fruit spread (any flavor)

    Recipe

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Spray a bundt pan with butter-flavored cooking spray. In a small bowl, combine apple pie spice and Sugar Twin. Separate biscuits. Flatten each biscuit into a 3-inch circle. Place 1/2 teaspoon fruit spread in center of each biscuit. Wrap each biscuit to form a ball. Roll biscuit balls in apple pie spice mixture. Arrange 10 balls in bundt pan, seam side up.

Lightly spray top with butter-flavored cooking spray. Arrange remaining 10 balls seam side down between balls of first layer. Sprinkle any remaining apple pie spice mixture evenly over top. Lightly spray with butter-flavored cooking spray. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Place pan on wire rack and let set for 5 minutes. Turn upside down onto a serving plate and pat bread out of pan. Lightly spray with butter-flavored cooking spray. Allow to cool for 10 minutes. Break balls apart when serving.

Serves 10 (2 each). Freezes well.

Helpful Hint: I gathered the tops of my circles like you would a Chinese filled steamed bun. Like a little package and pinched them shut.
