    Recipe Introduction


    This variation on a Swiss breakfast cereal is great with milk or yogurt, or as a portable snack.

    List of Ingredients




    2 ounces rolled oats
    4 ounces wheat flakes
    12 dried apricot halves snipped
    1/4 cup currants plus
    2 tablespoons currants
    4 dates snipped
    2 tablespoons pumpkin seeds

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. To toast oats, spread on baking sheet; bake, stirring occasionally, about 5 minutes, until lightly browned. Set aside to cool. In small bowl, combine oats with all remaining ingredients.

    Makes 8 servings, about 1/4 cup each.
