This rich dessert makes its own pudding-like sauce. It's very low in fat--but each serving has quite a few calories, so a little goes a long way.
List of Ingredients
1 cup flour
3/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup skim milk
1-1/2 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1-3/4 cups hot water Recipe
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray an 8-inch square baking pan with non-stick spray. Sift together flour, sugar, 2 tablespoons cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Add milk, honey, and vanilla; mix until smooth. Pour batter into pan. Combine brown sugar, 1/4 cup cocoa, and water. Pour over batter. Bake 45 minutes.
Serves 8.
Per serving: 236 calories, .7 grams fat, 1 milligram cholesterol, 57.4 grams carbohydrates, 1.8 grams fiber, 2.9 grams protein, 241 milligrams sodium.
