Cake: 4 pt. Heavenly Lemon Angel Cake

1 package angel food cake mix -- ( 15 oz.)
1 lemon
2 cups powdered sugar
1 Tablespoon lemon zest -- optional
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
2 cups Cool Whip Free
10 ounces frozen strawberriesRecipe
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare cake according to package directions. Pour batter into 9" x 13" baking pan; spread evenly over bottom. Bake 35 - 40 minutes or until crust is golden brown and cracked, looks dry, and is firm to touch. Do not underbake. Turn baking pan upside down onto Nonstick Cooling Rack; cool completely.
Pole holes in cake about 1 1/2 inches deep and 1/2 inch apart with large fork. In a 1-qt bowl, whisk powdered sugar, lemon juice, and zest until smooth. Slowly pour over cake, spreading evenly. Let stand 30 minutes or until glaze is set. Cut the cake into 15 pieces.Garnish each serving with whipped topping and top with strawberries.
Serves 15.
* For some this may be too lemony with the lemon zest.
