Cake: 6 pt. Warm Molasses Cake

2/3 cup brown sugar
1 large egg
2 cups flour
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup butter -- softened
1/2 cup molasses
1 3/4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup 1% milkRecipe
Preheat oven to 375¼F; grease a 9 inch square baking pan. Combine brown sugar and butter. Beat at medium 5 minutes. Add egg and beat well. Add molasses and beat well. Combine dry ingredients and add to mix, alternating with milk. Stir well and pour into pan. Bake 27 minutes or until done. Cool 45 minutes and ice.
Glaze:
In saucepan combine 2/3 cup brown sugar, 2 tbls soft butter, 2 tbla milk, 1/8 tsp salt. Heat til butter melts and mix is smooth. Stir constantly with whisk. Let cool and spread over warm cake.
Serves 12.
NOTES : 6 points; 3.5 starch; 0.5 fat
