List of Ingredients
1 tbsp reduced-calorie margarine
2 cloves garlic -- minced
1 tbsp flour
1 cup skim milk
1/4 cup fat-free cream cheese
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese -- grated - see note
1 cup broccoli florets
1 large red bell pepper -- cut in 1-inch pieces
1/2 medium carrot -- thinly sliced
1 stalk celery -- sliced - see note
4 cups cooked pasta -- linguine - cooked and drainedRecipe
In a medium nonstick saucepan melt margarine. SautŽ garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Whisk in flour, then gradually whisk in milk. Cook, stirring constantly, until slightly thickened, about 2 minutes. Whisk in the cream cheese and Asiago. Cook stirring, until smooth, about 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and cover to keep warm.
Meanwhile steam broccoli, pepper, carrot and celery until tender crisp in your vegetable steamer. In a large bowl, combine the pasta and steamed vegetables. Add cheese sauce and toss to coat thoroughly. Serve at once.

NOTES : Asiago cheese may be used in place of the parmesan. I omit celery & use more broccoli.
