Oh-So-Sloppy Joes

Recipe Introduction
original recipe calls for serving on buns -- would be good over rice or baked potato as well.
List of Ingredients
1/2 tsp olive oil
3/4 cup chopped red onions
1/2 cup chopped green peppers
1/2 cup finely chopped carrots
1/2 cup chopped celery
1 clove garlic, minced
1 pound lean ground beef round
1/2 cup tomato sauce (no salt)
1/4 cup water
1 tbl. balsamic vinegar
1 tbl. low sodium worcestershire sauce
2 tbl. packed light brown sugar (can use brown sugar twin)
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1/4 tsp hot pepper sauce
Recipe
Warm the oil in a nonstick skillet over medium high. Add the onions, green peppers, carrots, celery, garlic and oregano; cook or 4-5 minutes or until the veggies are softened. Add the ground beef. Cook, breaking up the meat with a wooden spoon, for 3 minutes or until no longer pink. Stir in the tomato sauce, water, viengar, worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, black pepper and hot pepper sauce. Cook for 3 minutes or until heated through.
