Source of Recipe
i am unsure if this was by chippy or lwc1957 of sassafrass platoon.. my apologies - buny
List of Ingredients
Rosemary Steak
Dried Rosemary
Dried Oregano
Dried Garlic Powder
One portion of Steak
Ground Black PepperRecipe
On both sides of steak in this order:
Sprinkle on garlic powder
Coat in thin layer of rosemary
Coat half amount of rosemary with oregano
Sprinkle on black pepper
What makes this steak is the amount of spices you use, so make sure you don't see the surface of the steak before cooking.
Let marinade for about an hour. If you don't have time, preheat broiler before putting on spices. While you're waiting for broiler, put the steak in the fridge and make the salad.
--------------------------------------------
Fennel Salad:
1 Fennel bulb
2 stalks of Celery
2 Green Onions
4 Radishes
1 handful of fresh Corriander (cilantro)
1 handful of fresh Italian Parsley
1/2 c of pure Grapefruit Juice (not from concentrate)
1 tbsp of dried Tarragon
1 1/2 teaspoon of Dijon Mustard (or, 1 teaspoon of Mustard Powder and 1 tbsp of Apple Cider Vinegar)
Garlic to taste
Slice fennel, then cut into smaller bite size pieces. Chop celery and green onions.
Slice radishes, then cut into miniature fingers. Chop corriander and parsley. Throw all these puppies into a bowl.
Mix together grapefruit juice, mustard, tarragon and garlic. Pour over top salad and mix thoroughly. Stick it in the fridge and now go broil that steak to your preference. Make sure you broil both sides.
And for the gratuitous wrap-up: serve steak with salad with your choice of carbohydrate if desired.
