Oats: Fluffy Old Fashioned Oats

This oatmeal turns out fluffy and has more flavor. Place a veggie steamer in a medium saucepan and add enough water to come about half way up the steamer, so that the oats will be submerged in water when added. Bring to a boil, then add the quantity of oats desired. Blanch the oats for 2 minutes, lift the steamer with oats from the pan, and pour off all the water except the small amount needed to steam the oats. Return the steamer with the oats to the pan, then bring the water back to a boil. Cover the pan, turn off the heat, let the oats steam for 5-10 minutes, depending on how firm you like your oatmeal. Serve.
