Turkey: Bette's OP Chili

List of Ingredients
1 ¼ lb. Ground Turkey Breast
1 – 15 oz. can diced tomatoes (no salt added)
1 – 15 oz. can diced tomatoes w/green chiles (no salt added)
if you cannot find these, just use 2 cans diced tomatoes
and add 1 small can diced chiles.
1 – 8 oz. can tomato sauce (no salt added)
3 cloves minced garlic
1 medium onion chopped
2 – 2 ½ T chili powder (no salt added)
Fresh Ground black pepper to taste
1 – tsp. Beef Boullion and ½ cup of water if needed (I found some with no sodium on the internet)
1 – 15 oz. can pinto beans (drained and rinsed real well)(optional)
Recipe
Brown the turkey and onions together, add all other ingredients except beans. Simmer 15 or 20 minutes. Add beans and simmer 5 minutes more. This makes 8 servings with 2 oz. protein B and ½ cup carb. Beans are a carb C but pinto beans are allowed as a regular carb on the program.
You can omit the pinto beans and serve over ½ C rice. It is delicious that way!!!
