Sauce: Red Wine Sauce

1/2 c. Vidalia onions, chopped
3 garlic cloves, chopped
2 c. red wine or merlot
2 6 oz. cans of tomato paste
2 tsp. Splenda (= 1 packet)
garlic powder, white pepper to taste
Recipe
In medium saucepan, saute onions and garlic over high heat for 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Slowly stir in red wine.
Over medium heat, begin adding tomato paste, stirring slowly to allow sauce to thicken. Add Splenda and other spices and stir. Bring heat to a very low setting and simmer for 20-25 minutes. It's good with chicken or beef.
