* 1 cup chopped onion
* 14-1/2 oz sodium free chicken broth
* 2 tsp minced garlic
* 1 tsp paprika
* 1 tsp dried basil
* 1/2 tsp dried oregano
* 1/8 tsp black pepper
* 28 oz no-salt crushed tomatoes in puree
* 28 oz no-salt whole tomatoes, undrained
* 2 tsp worcestershire sauce
* 1/4 cup parsley
* sugar substitute, optional
Recipe
Combine onion, chicken broth, garlic, paprika, basil, oregano, and pepper in large saucepan. Cook over medium heat 10 minutes.
Add crushed tomatoes and whole tomatoes with their liquid, worcestershire sauce, and parsley. Simmer, partially covered, over low heat for 30 minutes or until thickened and chunky. Add sugar substitute to taste. Serve over rice noodles, if desired.
