3 egg whites
3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 to 3/4 cup pourable splenda
2 tablespoons cocoa powder
Recipe
In a mixing bowl, beat egg whites and vanilla until soft peaks form. Gradually add the Splenda, about 1 tbl. at a time, beating until stiff peaks form. Gently fold in cocoa powder.
Place in a pastry bag fitted with large, open star tip. Line baking sheet with nonstick foil. Pipe stars about 1 1/2 inch in diameter, or drop by rounded teaspoon full.
Bake at 300¼F for 30-35 minutes until lightly browned. Remove from oven to wire rack to cool. Store in airtight container. Makes about 4 dozen, or 3 servings (each serving is 1 oz. Protein A)
