9 medium Rome apples
4 medium Bartlett pears
1 tablespoon margarine
1/2 cup dry white wine
1/4 cup sugar or splenda
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon Recipe
Place 6 apples and the pears on a baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes or until tender. Let cool 20 minutes. Peel, core, and cube baked fruit. Place in a blender or food processor, and process until smooth. Pour into a large saucepan, and set aside.
Peel, core, and slice remaining 3 apples; add to pan. Add margarine and next 4 ingredients; cook over medium heat 10 minutes or until apple is tender, stirring constantly. Yield: 6 cups
