10 pounds tart apples
1 cup water
3 tablespoons sugar substitute
1 teaspoon cinnamon, optional
Recipe
Peel, core and slice the apples before cooking. Place the apples and water in a large pot. . Heat to boiling stirring with wooden spoon. If you prefer a less crisp applesauce, simmer for 10 minutes. Turn off the heat and cover the pot. After an hour, stir in the sugar substitute and cinnamon. Add more sweetener to taste, if desired. Refrigerate for use within 2 weeks or freeze until ready to use.
