    Desserts: Mocha Sorbet

    Recipe Introduction

    Best used for living lean rather than weight reduction phase, since the splenda and salt and cocoa powder are not on plan; may significantly stall weight loss during reduction phase.

    List of Ingredients

    2 cup Sugar or splenda
    1/2 tsp Salt
    1 1/4 cup Cocoa powder
    1 cup Brewed coffee
    1 tbl Dark rum

    Recipe

    * Combine sugar or splenda, 3 1/2 cups water, and salt in a large saucepan. Bring mixture to a boil and stir until sugar is dissolved completely. Whisk in cocoa powder.

    * Remove saucepan from heat; stir in coffee; let mixture cool slightly; add rum. Pour mixture into a large stainless-steel mixing bowl and chill thoroughly.

    * Freeze mixture in ice cream maker, following manufacturer's directions.
