Desserts: Oatmeal Molasses Cookies

Recipe Introduction
Note: recommended for living lean rather than during weight reduction phase since this contains some ingredients that may stall your weight loss (like the oatmeal flour and the splenda).
List of Ingredients
1 1/2 c. Oatmeal flour
1 c. Splenda
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ground ginger (+/-)
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 c. Apple sauce
2 egg White
1/4 c. molasses (+/-) Substitution for Molasses BELOW
5 TBsp of water. for molasses substitution
3/4 c. quick cooking rolled oats
Recipe
Stir together into mixing bowl flour, sugar, soda, ginger and cloves. Add shortening, egg and molasses; beat until smooth. Stir in oatmeal. Drop from teaspoon onto ungreased cookie pan. (May roll into meatball size and shape.)
Bake in 375 degree oven for 10 to 11 minutes. Allow to stand a few minutes before removing from pan. Makes 3 dozen. Cookies may be hard the first few days, but soften with age in a can or jar.

Molasses Substitution: Makes 1 Cup!
3/4 cup of splenda Plus 2 tespoons baking powder ( Increase liguid called for in recipes by 5 Tbsp and decrease baking soda by 1/2 tsp.
