Buny's Garlic Mashed Potatoes

These are quick and easy to make. I used Yukon gold potatoes as they have a more buttery flavor naturally.

Yukon gold potatoes
peeled cloves of garlic (leave cloves whole but trim rough end off)
chicken broth to desired consistency (or can use the potato water)
Recipe
Peel and cut up your potatoes (as much as you desire to make...) Cube them into about 1/2 inch cubes. Toss them all into a steamer (I put a steamer basket into a pot, filled pot with water that came just below the steamer basket so it wouldn't touch the potatoes themselves). Toss in whole cloves of garlic (they will cook as the potatoes steam). Steam potatoes until fork-tender. Once steamed and cooked thru, spoon into a large bowl. Using potato masher, mash the potatoes and garlic cloves. Add chicken broth as needed to make desired consistency.
Can also add in fresh herbs to taste, fresh ground pepper, or a few sprays of I Can't Believe it's Not Butter (not on plan, so use sparingly) as desired.
