From member kcblonde: This sauce may be used for pizza and is also great to add ground turkey to for spaghetti.
List of Ingredients
* 1 can no salt added tomatoes (small dice or stewed)
* 2 cans no salt added tomato sauce
* 1 cup finely minced onion
* 1 tbsp minced or crushed garlic
* 1/4 cup no sodium chicken stock
* 1 tbsp vinegar (rice or balsamic)
* 1-1/2 tsp basil
* 1 tsp oregano
* 1 tsp garlic powder
* 1 tsp onion powder
* 1 tsp marjoram
* 1 tsp Italian seasoning
* pinch of dill
* 1/2 small can chopped green chiles (optional)
* 3 bay leaves (remove after cooking)
* pinch tarragon
* pinch rosemary
* pinch thyme
* pinch sage
* pinch crushed red chiles
* cooked chicken breasts
* cooked rice
Recipe
Mix all ingredients together in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to simmer, cover, and cook for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Prepare individual servings of rice, topped with chunks or slices of chicken breast (I recommend char-grilled for an added taste dimension). Pour individual servings of sauce over the rice and chicken.
