Chicken: Smothered Chicken

List of Ingredients
original recipe:
4 oz chicken breast, skinned
1/3 cup onions, sliced
1 cup mushrooms, sliced thin
Scant pinches of each of: rosemary, marjoram, thyme
Dash of garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
my version:
3 boneless skinless chicken breasts
minced garlic (1 or 2 cloves, to taste)
thinly sliced onions
couple pinches each of: rosemary, marjoram, thyme, per chicken breast
thinly sliced mushrooms
1/4 cup no/low fat low sodium chicken broth
1/4 cup white wine (I used a Riesling)
Recipe
Place chicken in a baking dish (I used my favorite stoneware baking dish). ÊSprinkle with minced garlic and top with onions, mushrooms, herbs, and pepper. Ê(I had sliced an onion and a bunch of mushrooms to store in the fridge, so I just used enough to cover each chicken breast.) Cover baking dish and bake for 30 minutes in a 325 degree oven and uncovered for an additional 15 minutes.
