Turkey: Ground Turkey & Cabbage

2 pounds ground turkey
2 onions, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 16-oz. cans tomato sauce
5 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
4 Tbsp. brown sugar Sugar Twin
1 tsp. dried thyme
pepper to taste
6 to 8 cups finely shredded cabbage (about 1 and 1/2 to 2 pounds)Recipe
1. Brown meat in a large pot or Dutch oven (which is really just a large pot with a close-fitting lid).
2. Add onion and garlic and continue to brown meat and break it into small pieces. Add tomato sauce, vinegar, Sugar Twin, thyme and pepper. Mix well and bring to a boil while stirring constantly.
3. Add cabbage then reduce heat and cover pot. Simmer while covered for about 25 minutes stirring occasionally.
4. Cook until cabbage is tender. Cook with lid off for a few minutes to thicken the sauce if you would like.
