Ingredients:
Ground Turkey
Cabbage (you can use deli slaw to make this easier)
Mrs. Dash Onion Medley
Mrs. Dash Table Blend
Preparation:
Brown/scramble your turkey and weigh it after it's cooked to determine how many servings you should end up with. Put it back in the pan and add the cabbage. Season with the Mrs. Dash and add water to the pan (I add about 1/2 cups at the time). Stir it all together and cover with a lid.. Watch it close and stir it regularly. If the water runs dry before the cabbage is cooked to your preference, add more. I like my cabbage pretty well cooked, but can make up one serving in about 15 min. Package it up into the number of servings you determined and you have a great quick easy protein (and depending on how much cabbage you used it can also serve as your vegetable).
This recipe is very forgiving.. add a lot of cabbage.. add just a bit... you can also add diced potatoes and onions to this (get them about half cooked before you add the cabbage) and you have a carb and protein and veggie. (Remember about 1/2 of a potato the size of your fist is roughly 1/2 cup.)
I keep this made up in my fridge/freezer because it's always a quick easy choice.
