"From member Texas Tink: My buddies encouraged me to submit this recipe. It is the 6WBMO Turkey Sausage recipe modified to be like Owen's Maple Sausage. I love it for breakfast! However, it is good anytime and a handy protein to have available. I have been using it since early March and do not get tired of it. It can be transported frozen and will keep better. Place in snack size zip-loc bags. Easy to double and keep frozen. However, the longer it is kept the hotter it will become.

List of Ingredients
1 lb ground turkey breast
1/4 tsp cumin
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (more if you like but sausage will get hotter as it ages)
1/8 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder with parsley
1/2 tsp sage leaves or rubbed
1/2 tsp Magic Seasoning No Salt** (Paul Prudhome's)
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tsp maple extract
2 tsp Splenda or xylitol
3.9 oz container Mott's No Sugar Added Applesauce
1/4 cup low-sodium chicken brothRecipe
Crumble turkey into bowl and mix well with remaining ingredients. Refrigerate 30 minutes or more. With wet hands (prevents sticking) shape into 2 oz patties. Cook in George Foreman grill or non-stick skillet until browned on both sides. Cool.
