    Grains: Grain Mix Recipe

    List of Ingredients

    1 cup short grain brown rice
    1 cup basmati brown rice
    1 1/2 cup quinoa
    5 cups water

    Recipe

    Rinse quinoa, if necessary, to remove outer coating. (not all brands will need this prep) Its also nice to dry-toast the grains in a skillet or pan before you add the liquid and cook it - enhances the nuttiness.

    Put all ingredients in rice cooker, set it and let it do its magic. The basmati rice gives this mixture a nice aroma and flavor. If you don't have this, use 2 cups of regular brown rice. Recipe yeilds about 7 1/2 - 8 cups.
