    Rice: Herbed Rice

    "I found this recipe on spicebarn.com and changed it to make it plan friendly. I have not tested this recipe."

    List of Ingredients

    1 cup uncooked long grain rice
    1 cup celery, diced
    3/4 cup onion, diced
    2 1/2 cups water or chicken broth
    1 package dry low sodium chicken boullion
    2 tablespoons fresh parsley
    1/2 teaspoon thyme
    1/4 teaspoon rubbed sage
    1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
    1 tablespoon pimento, chopped

    Recipe

    Saute rice, celery, and onion with a little water or chicken broth. Stir in remaining ingredients, except pimento. Bring to a boil; reduce heat; cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Stir in pimento. Remove from heat and let stand covered for 10 minutes.
