Spicy Denali Alaska Halibut

1 Êtablespoon paprika
1 1/2 Êteaspoons crushed dried oregano
1 1/2 Êteaspoons dried thyme
1 Êteaspoon onion powder
1 Êteaspoon garlic powder
(original recipe used 1 Êteaspoon salt)
1 Êteaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 Êteaspoon cayenne pepper
1 1/2 Êtablespoons butter, melted (or use nonstick cooking spray)
4 Ê (6-oz.) halibut steaksRecipe
Preheat broiler. Mix together paprika, oregano, thyme, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper and cayenne pepper in a small bowl; stir until well combined. Place halibut on a nonstick or vegetable spray-coated broiler pan. Brush melted butter onto top surfaces of halibut (or spray with the cooking spray) and sprinkle 1Ú2 teaspoon of seasoning mixture over the surface of each steak. Broil 10 minutes per inch of thickness, or until fish flakes easily with a fork. Store remaining spice mixture in an airtight container for future use.
