Recipe Introduction
can also use chicken, turkey or beef for this recipe
List of Ingredients
1 Pound protein (I use shrimp, but you can also use bite-sized chicken, scallops, beef, or even tofu) marinated for a few minutes in about 1-2 Tb soy sauce
1 onion, cut in bite sized pieces
1 Tbs. minced garlic
1 Tbs. ginger
Your choice of: mushrooms, bell peppers, pineapple, snow peas or any other veggies you may like - cut into bite sized chunks and totalling about 1 pound
For Sauce - Mix together:
1/4 cup broth
1/4 cup soy sauce (can use low sodium)
2 tsp. rice vinegar
2 tsp. toasted sesame oil (can omit this, but I like the taste of the sesame)
1 tsp. red pepper flakes
1 tsp. SplendaRecipe
1. Heat skillet or wok on low. Brown the protein. Transfer to serving platter or bowl.
2. Stir fry onion until lightly browned and crisp (about 1 minute), add garlic and ginger. Add remaining veggies (add the ones that will take longer to cook first!).
3. Return protein to pan and add the sauce.
4. Serve over Asian rice noodles.
It is better than you would buy at a Chinese restaurant!
