Spicy Potato Soup

List of Ingredients
1 pound very lean ground beef
4 1/2 cups cubed peeled potatoes (1/2" cubes)
1 small onion, chopped
3 cans tomato sauce, no salt added (8 oz each)
4 cups water
(original recipe called for 2 teaspoons salt )
1 1/2 teaspoons pepper
1/2 to 1 tsp hot pepper sauce
Recipe
In a large Dutch oven or soup kettle, brown ground beef ; drain. Add potatoes, onion and tomato sauce. Stir in water, (salt,) pepper and hot pepper sauce. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour or until potatoes are tender and the soup has thickened.
