    Vegetable Beef Soup

    From member Unicornias: Here's some great soup based upon an old family recipe.

    List of Ingredients

    * 2 lbs lean roast beef
    * 1 tsp all-purpose spice
    * water
    * 3 stalks celery, diced
    * 1 large onion, diced
    * 3-4 16 oz cans Veg-all, drained, sodium free (or substitute fresh vegetables of your choice, such as carrots, green beans, potatoes)
    * 16 oz tomato sauce, sodium free

    Recipe

    Place roast and spice in large pan. Add water to almost cover. Boil 2-3 hours until tender. Remove meat to cutting board for shredding with fork. Add remaining ingredients to broth and the meat after it is shredded. Cook until celery is tender. It may need additional water. Spice to taste.

    Veggie only version: Combine all ingredients except beef. Fill with water until soupy. Cook until tender. Spice to taste.
