    1 butternut squash, any size

    Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. To ease clean-up, line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper. Cut the squash in half lengthwise. Scoop out and discard the seeds and stringy flesh. Place cut side down onthe baking sheet. Bake ntil tender, when the tip of a sharp knife can be easily inserted through the skin. This takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending onthe size of the squash.
