Green Beans w/ Tomato & Cinnamon

1/4 cup water, sherry, wine or low salt chicken or veg. stock
1 medium onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
6 medium tomatoes, diced
4 cups diced green beans
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1/4 teaspoon black pepper Recipe
Heat water, broth, wine or sherry in a skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic. Cook and stir over medium heat for 5 minutes, adding more liquid if needed. Add tomatoes, green beans, cinnamon, allspice, and black pepper to skillet. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes, or until green beans are tender.
